I started making costumes when I was 18. It's something of a family business on my mother's side, so the passion was first inspired by her, and she taught me everything I needed to get started. From there it was a mixture of learning by myself and being taught by her.

LARP was what first inspired me to make my own costumes, although I'd been looking at costumes for cosplay for about a year prior. Being able to follow a brief and create what I wanted to both from scratch and from putting existing items together was always exciting!
